Wow, this summer is just flying by! We hope that our patients and their families are enjoying their summers here in sunny Mission Viejo. As a dental office that practices general and pediatric dentistry, we have the privilege of working with patients of all ages, so we often get to treat and get to know entire families. We love hearing about all the fun local events that our patients and their families attend all summer. In order to help our patients make the most of the summer time we have left, we’ve put together a list of some of the most popular family-friendly events coming up this season! 

Family Fort Night

For some unique family fun that is sure to create a lasting memory, check out Family Fort Night! The next Family Fort Night will take place at the Mission Viejo Library (located at 100 Civic Center) on Friday July 26th from 5:30 pm-7:30 pm. Families are invited to bring pillows, blankets, and other fort-making equipment for a fun evening in the library! You’ll be able to build a fort among the library stacks with your family and read books together while having a picnic! The event is free to attend, and light refreshments will be provided.

Family Style Concert on the Green

Mission Viejo hosts outdoor concerts at Village Green at Oso Viejo Park, and the upcoming “Family Style” concert is perfect for your next family fun night out! “Family Style” has been entertaining fans throughout Southern California since 1989. They’ve created a dynamic stage show that features music from Stevie Wonder, Prince, and James Brown, along with icons like David Bowie, Steve Ray Vaughn. and Santana. They’ll make your family want to dance! The concert will even feature free bounce houses for kids to enjoy, along with gourmet food trucks, beer, and wine for purchase. Concert goers are invited to bring low-back chairs and blankets to use during the show, but pets should stay home for this one.

Camp Out Under the Stars

Looking for an opportunity for easy local camping? This year, the City of Mission Viejo is sponsoring Camp Out Under the Stars at Cordova Park on August 17th. The event starts at 4 p.m. and will continue until 10 a.m. the following morning. Camp Out Under the Stars is the perfect chance to unplug and enjoy a night filled with family fun activities like life-sized classic games, crafts, a scavenger hunt, bonfires, and more! Participants can choose to pre-purchase a meal ticket and enjoy dinner served by The Habit. Breakfast will be provided. Please bring a sleeping bag, flashlight, water bottle, and tent (stakes are ok). Pets are not able to attend this event. Register as soon as possible!
